My Tahari women's suit is wrinkly and instead of paying to have it dry cleaned can I iron it on reverse side?

That's my question. I am selling this suit and I want to make it look nice but I don't want to spend the money to dry clean it.
Do you know if I can iron it on its' reverse side?
It's made of polyester and it's got nylon lining on inside.

I just tried and it SCARED ME b/c it was on TOO hot and it STUCK to the material!! ahh!!! fortunately it was on the reverse side so I'm hoping it won't damage it.

Anyone had same situation?

I have usually handled delicates by doing what has been suggested, which is a thin fairly wet (not damp but not sopping) WHITE towel (you do not want dye transfer from towel to clothes - I usually use shop towels or muslin cloth) on top of the object to be pressed. What it does is create a moisture steam press which is a different heat temperature than the one coming direct from your iron. I usually set th iron from medium to hot depending how much thickness of fabric I have to iron through

The combination weight of the wet towel and the press of the iron helps move wrinkles out. You just need to be mindful when the towel dries up because the effectiveness of the wrinkle remover reduces

Here's another suggestion that I never thought about and plan on trying it next time on a delicate I can afford to "expend"

which is leave the fabric itself wet and iron out the moisture but again you would need to track the evaporation. Why I prefer the towel method

Always iron on reverse side for delicate fabrics because the heat can cause a sheen on the fabric leaving indications where the iron has been similar to vacuuming a carpet
