What Ford models circa 1970 had FORD written across the leading edge of the hood?
One of my friends saw a car fitting this description the other day. I'm a self-professed Ford geek, but I couldn't remember what model had FORD across the front of the hood as he described. I know I have seen a car like this before, but I can't remember which one. Based on some of the pictures I gave him, it should be some Mustang or Torino model.
Most models during that era had Ford emblems on the hood. Without knowing the exact year it could be a few models since during this period many models were sporty looking due to the "coke bottle" body designs of the time. Even some full size cars had a clean, fast look to them. The Falcon(1970 was the last year), Torino(1969/68 and 1972 up, but not 1970/71), Fairlane, Ranchero(again excluding 1970/71), Galaxie, and even the Pinto all had Ford across the hood.
